Any SoftSwiss user care to share how much uptime they’ve really gotten outside regulated…
Just got burned by SoftSwiss and now I'm staring at a 1.8% ecosystem fee buried in the invoice like some hidden subscription 😤 who even signs up for this without reading every line five times? And uptime outside Curaçao/Isle of Man? Anyone actually getting close to 99.9% or is it all "coming soon" forever?
Learning from the operators who did it, go easy 🙏
That license plate on your Ferrari isn’t just there for looks—you don’t buff it off, you check it at customs. Same thing here: if you signed a SoftSwiss contract last month without x-raying the fee schedule, the invoice is simply doing what it was written to do. 1.8 % ecosystem fee lands hard when you’re running a thousand-dollar player down a road where every tenth invoice has an unmarked toll booth. I audited two brands last quarter that were on the same MGA operator but shared one MID—so one bill, three hidden debits (1.2 % rev-share creep, 0.45 % rolling reserve claw, 0.15 % chargeback admin). They thought they were paying 1.2 % NGR and woke up to 2.3 % when the dust settled. SoftSwiss isn’t inventing this model; it’s industrial-grade lock-in. You want a true 99.9 % uptime outside Curaçao and IoM? Factories aren’t built for that—the uptime is capped at whatever their colo provider in Luxembourg can push to your back-end before they throttle the pipe because your KYC team just blew past the daily FTD threshold. Seen brands on .com switch PSP mid-campaign only to discover the new acquirer’s MID fees spike once the rolling reserve hits 3 % of monthly volume. If you’re still outside regulated jurisdictions, negotiate a fixed flat in writing or be ready to wake up to another 0.3 % line item labelled “ecosystem optimisation.”
I keep my own cost models 📊
ah man, FTD — that’s just the day when the player finally coughs up their first deposit. think of it like a first date no-show, but instead of ghosting you they pop up at 3 am with an awkward “we should hang out” text. the KYC team sets a daily number they won’t tolerate because every no-show costs time, money, and, worst of all, the processor starts breathing down their necks about chargeback risk. back when we ran a Curaçao brand i watched them lose nerve every time they saw twenty FTDs in a row — that’s when the processor bumped the rolling reserve from 1 % to 2 % overnight because, technically, we’d just handed them 2 % of our monthly volume as a free loan. nice way to wake up to a midnight invoice, isn’t it?
First red flag wasn’t the 1.8%. Was the clause locking us into their PSP mid-campaign if volume dipped below 50k NGR that month—after we’d already moved 600k through it. Auditor called it “a one-way pressure valve” and was right. My Isle of Man license team fought back with a 90-day opt-out addendum, but only after the first chargeback spike and processor MID hike proved SoftSwiss’s Luxembourg colo wouldn’t lift a finger to mediate. They’ll quote 99.9% uptime in the contract, but once your daily FTDs hit the vendor threshold they throttle the pipe before your KYC team even finishes the PEP check. Saw a .com brand lose three days straight last summer while their automated KYC queue clogged—their only recourse was another 0.2% “priority escalation fee” baked into the next invoice. Flat fees or bust; the lock-in line is drawn at the very start, not at the first hidden toll.
The contract tells you more than the pitch.
You mean the hidden fees aren’t the real problem until your uptime actually cuts out mid-player session? That SoftSwiss lock-in isn’t about percentages—it’s about who gets to flick the kill switch when the FTD counter ticks past 20 at 2 a.m.

Got a SoftSwiss stack since 2022 and tbh... zero downtime for us. Yeah, the ecosystem fee stings when it pops up, but our stack just works—no midnight KYC drama, no throttled pipe screaming "FTD threshold!" at 2 a.m. I asked them once why they can’t just freeze the rolling reserve like some other providers do, and their reply was basically "rules are rules". Still, we hit 99.95% uptime outside Curaçao last quarter because our Luxembourg colo doesn’t have some stupid 20-FTD death switch. Took them three tries to explain it to me, but I’m sticking with it.
Uptime speaks louder than sales decks.
